Business Services Manager – Public Practice

$130,000-$170,000 + super + bonus, depending on experience

You enjoy helping business owners make better financial decisions with more clarity, confidence and control, whilst actively working towards developing junior team members into highly confident, capable professionals.

Join Michael Saade’s team and take responsibility for managing client work, reviewing quality and developing our accountants. As you grow, you will work towards ownership of your own client portfolio.

Manage the work. Build the relationships.

- Manage clients from planning to completion, keeping deadlines and communication on track
- Prepare and finalise financial statements and tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Deliver practical tax and business advice, including tax planning, budgets and business planning
- Build client relationships and lead meetings, supported by Michael and the Partners

Review the work. Share the know-how.

- Take a leading role in reviewing financial statements, tax returns and workpapers
- Have a teacher’s mindset; you enjoy sharing your knowledge, explaining the “why”, and helping emerging accountants build their skills and confidence
- Give clear,



constructive feedback that turns review points into lightbulb moments
- Lead practical training and help team members strengthen their technical skills
- Guide priorities, resolve technical questions and build confidence and accountability across the team

You know your tax. You know how to relate to people.

You will bring:

- Strong Australian public practice experience at Manager level, delivering tax and business services to external clients
- Experience managing client work, reviewing files and training team members
- CA or CPA qualifications and a relevant accounting or commerce degree
- Strong Australian tax knowledge, including FBT, Division 7A, GST and CGT concessions
- Sound judgement, initiative and reliable follow-through
