ROLE OVERVIEW

Senior Business Analyst for a major data centre rationalisation programme, reducing five existing sites into a primary and secondary dual-site architecture. The engagement begins with a strictly defined six-week discovery and planning phase, operating under a fixed-price, fixed-outcome commercial model. Successful completion of this initial assessment will baseline the subsequent 12-month execution track. You will operate as the primary link between technical engineering teams, commercial stakeholders, and programme leadership to ensure the target state architecture is documented and delivered within rigid scope constraints.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Lead the initial six-week technical discovery sprint under a strict fixed-price and fixed-outcome commercial framework.

Map existing hardware assets, software workloads, and complex system interdependencies across five legacy hosting facilities.

Produce comprehensive current-state documentation to a standard that guarantees commercial and technical sign-off.

Control scope rigorously during the discovery phase to prevent timeline slippage and ensure the fixed-outcome deliverables are met.

Define the target operating model and formulate the future-state migration strategy in partnership with enterprise architects.





Facilitate structured workshops with application owners, network engineers, and third-party vendors to capture precise technical specifications and compliance requirements.

Identify critical path dependencies, model failure scenarios, and construct risk mitigation plans to ensure continuous service availability.

Manage the strategic transition from the planning phase into the year-long delivery pipeline, ensuring execution aligns entirely with the validated roadmap.

MORE ABOUT YOU

Demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst leading enterprise-level infrastructure transformations, facility consolidations, or large-scale migration programmes.

Proven track record delivering fixed-price, fixed-outcome discovery engagements within tight commercial and time constraints.

Solid technical understanding of enterprise architecture, networking fundamentals, storage solutions, and disaster recovery principles.

Robust analytical capability to process fragmented legacy datasets, map complex application dependencies, and model viable future-state scenarios.

Advanced stakeholder management skills with the ability to broker agreement between technical engineering squads and senior business executives.

Direct experience managing scope definition, requirements traceability, and commercial deliverables in highly structured IT environments.
