We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator Welder to join the team at Actiwork. This is a full-time position based in Singleton, NSW 2330. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding sheet metal components to accurate specifications, playing a vital part in our manufacturing operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern equipment and contribute to the production of high-quality industrial products that serve our diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

- Fabricate sheet metal components using various cutting and forming techniques
- Operate welding equipment to join metal components with precision and consistency
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
- Measure and mark materials according to job requirements using appropriate measuring tools
- Perform quality checks on fabricated and welded components to meet industry standards
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition and report any maintenance issues
- Follow all health and safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
- Document work completed and maintain accurate records of fabrication activities

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator Welder or in a similar fabrication role
- Competency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications




- Experience operating sheet metal equipment such as shears, press brakes and hydraulic equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Relevant welding certifications or trade qualifications
- Sound understanding of health and safety requirements in manufacturing environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical capability to lift heavy materials and work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Preferred: Experience with CAD software or computerised fabrication systems
