Accounts & Audit Senior | Northampton | £36,000 - £42,000 DOE

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well-established accountancy firm who are looking to recruit anAudit Senior to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced part-qualified or newly qualified practice professional looking to develop their audit experience across a varied portfolio of SME clients, with exposure to group audits, accounts preparation and tax.

The Role

Working with a diverse range of clients across a variety of industries, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality audit and assurance assignments while supporting the wider accounts and tax team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading audit assignments for a wide-ranging portfolio of SME clients
- Planning and completing audits through to finalisation




- Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirements
- Leading audits for groups of companies, including gaining experience with consolidated financial statements
- Preparing statutory financial statements, including consolidated accounts
- Preparing tax computations and supporting tax compliance work
- Assisting with advisory services and specialist assignments as required
- Building strong client relationships and providing a qualified, high-quality service

About You

- ACA / ACCA qualified or an experienced part-qualified Audit Semi Senior
- Previous audit experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience of working with SME clients across a range of industries
- Strong knowledge of audit and financial reporting requirements
- Experience of accounts preparation and tax compliance
- Strong communication and client relationship-building skills
- Organised with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- Accurate, proactive and commercially aware
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
