We are seeking an experienced and physically capable Van Driver to join our transport operation based in Port Kembla.
Working from the depot of a Tier 1 carrier, you will complete multi-drop deliveries throughout Wollongong and the South Coast. Freight includes wine, hospital supplies and other goods delivered to businesses, hospitals and residential addresses.
This is a hands‑on driving role, with most deliveries requiring manual unloading.

Working from the depot of a Tier 1 carrier, you will complete multi-drop deliveries throughout Wollongong and the South Coast. Freight includes wine, hospital supplies and other goods delivered to businesses, hospitals and residential addresses.
This is a hands‑on driving role, with most deliveries requiring manual unloading.
What we offer
- $35 per hour plus superannuation
- Loaded weekday rate covering ordinary hours and applicable overtime
- Full-time employment
- Approximately 50 hours per week, including overtime
- 7:00 am starts
- Occasional shifts of up to 12 hours, including scheduled breaks
- One week of training
- Uniform provided
- Immediate start
- Stable work with a Tier 1 transport carrier
Your responsibilities
- Completing safe and efficient multi-drop deliveries
- Driving throughout Wollongong and the South Coast, with some destinations approximately 150 km from the depot
- Delivering wine, hospital supplies and other general freight
- Completing business, hospital and residential deliveries
- Manually unloading the majority of deliveries
- Providing professional service to customers
- Conducting daily vehicle checks
- Keeping the van clean, safe and presentable
- Washing the van inside and out each week
- Following delivery schedules, site procedures and safety requirements
- Reporting directly to the Operations Manager
- Starting and finishing each shift in Port Kembla
What you will need
- Previous professional van driving or multi‑drop delivery experience
- A current unrestricted Australian car driver’s licence
- A safe and satisfactory driving record
- Physical fitness and the ability to safely perform repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting
- A reliable, punctual and skilled approach
- Good communication and customer‑service skills
- Confidence working independently and managing a busy delivery schedule
- Ability to pass a police check and driving‑history check
- Willingness to complete pre‑employment alcohol and drug testing
- Willingness to participate in random alcohol and drug testing throughout employment
Experience is essential. Applicants must be comfortable with physical work, long driving days and regular customer contact.
