About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Internal Sales - Customer Service Officer to join our team on a full-time basis at our Acacia Ridge QLD location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inbound customer inquiries, providing expert product and service information, and converting customer interactions into sales opportunities. You will be the voice of AUSTECH INDUSTRIES, delivering exceptional service whilst identifying and acting on sales prospects to support business growth objectives. This position is integral to our customer engagement strategy and directly contributes to revenue generation and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer calls and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide accurate information regarding products, services, and pricing to prospective and existing customers
- Identify sales opportunities and actively promote relevant products and services during customer interactions
- Process customer orders, quotes, and requests efficiently and accurately
- Maintain detailed and organised customer records in the company database
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Meet or exceed individual sales targets and call handling metrics
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve customer issues and queries
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support continuous service improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in customer service, inbound sales, or a related customer-facing role
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate product benefits clearly and persuasively
- Excellent listening skills and genuine interest in understanding customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue sales opportunities within customer conversations
- Proficiency with computer systems, databases, and customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Target-driven mindset with motivation to achieve individual and team sales goals
- Professional telephone manner and positive attitude toward customers
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; further qualifications in sales or customer service are advantageous
