We’re known for quality tailoring, natural fibres and exceptional service. We’re also a certified B Corp and Official Tailor to the Australian Test cricket team, the Wallabies and the Socceroos.

About the role

You’ll help customers find the right fit while delivering the personal and considered service M.J. Bale is known for.

Your day will include:

- Processing sales and assisting with stock movements
- Keeping the store well presented and ready for trade
- Supporting the team during busy and peak periods

About you

You’ll bring:

- Retail or customer service experience

Menswear experience is an advantage but isn’t essential. We’re looking for people who enjoy working with customers, contribute to the team and take pride in what they do.

You’ll receive sales incentives, clothing benefits and product training, with opportunities to grow your retail career across our store network.

In 2009 M.J. Bale founder, Matt Jensen, (the ‘M.J’ in M.J. Bale)

had an idea to create a totally unique Australian menswear brand that revolved around quality: quality of product and quality of in-store experience. The functionality of the garments had to be just right so that the customer would be just as stylish and comfortable both here and travelling overseas, whether wearing business or casual attire, right up through to formal events and tuxedos. Most importantly, Matt wanted a closeness of supply chain between the Australian woolgrower, Italian weavers, Japanese tailors and the ultimate product the customer was wearing. Choosing tenets like authenticity, integrity, provenance and character as brand pillars, Matt launched the brand in September 2009 with a collection that would evolve over the next few years to become a total wardrobe collection.
