About therole
As the Neuropsychologist Advanced -Ambulatory Service, you will provide expert neuropsychological assessment,consultation and intervention across the Complex Chronic Disease Team (CCDT),Geriatric Evaluation and Management in the Home (GEMITH), and outreach serviceswith the Bribie Island Healthy Ageing Assessment and Rehabilitation Team(HAART). This is an opportunity to apply your specialist expertise in a highlyautonomous role while contributing to service innovation, workforcedevelopment, research and quality improvement initiatives that enhance patientcare across Metro North Health.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someonewho can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with theMetro North Health’s values:
- Utilise knowledge and skills to identify researchgaps or opportunities for neuropsychology within multidisciplinary teams,contribute to formal and/or novel research in neuropsychology and promoteresearch collaborations with broader CCDT, GEMITH and HAARTmultidisciplinary teams, developing the knowledge base of theNeuropsychology profession and contributing to multidisciplinary and bestpatient care.
- Apply interdisciplinary and transdisciplinaryknowledge to provide clinical advice and direction to neuropsychologistsand the multidisciplinary team to improve client experience and outcomes.
- Act as content expert and primary point ofcontact for Neuropsychology for ambulatory neuropsychology services inCCDT, GEMITH and HAART, and act as a reference point or mentor to lessexperienced Neuropsychologists within the services.
- Provide clinical leadership,
coordination, andsupport for the ambulatory neuropsychology services and less experiencedneuropsychologists to ensure quality standards, procedures, and programsare implemented, and best outcomes for patients and the wider communityare achieved.
