The Chance

AnestablishedindustrialoperationinQueensland,AustraliaislookingforanexperiencedProductionManagertotakealeadingroleintheperformance,developmentandlong-termgrowthofalarge-scalesolarsaltproductionoperation.

Thisisaspecialistleadershipopportunityforsomeonewhounderstandsproductionbeyondday-to-daysupervision.Youwillhaveownershipofthecompleteproductioncycleandplayakeyroleinbalancingoutput,quality,costs,inventoryandoperationalrisk.

Key Responsibilities

- Takeoverallresponsibilityforproductionperformanceacrosstheoperation
- Managethecompletesolarsaltproductioncyclefromseawaterintaketofinishedstockpile
- Overseepumping,evaporation,crystallisation,harvesting,washingandstackingactivities
- Leadanddevelopateamofapproximately10+productionemployees
- Buildaflexibleandmulti-skilledfrontlineworkforce
- Monitorproductionoutput,inventoryandcost-per-tonneperformance
- Maintainstrongcommercialcontroloverproductionactivities
- Planoperationsaroundseasonalconditionsandchangingweatherpatterns
- Identifyoperationalrisksandmaketimelydecisionsduringhigh-impactevents
- Ensureproductionoutputconsistentlymeetsrequiredqualitystandards
- Investigateandresolvetechnical,processandproductionissues
- Leadcontinuousimprovementactivitiesfocusedonproductivityandefficiency
- Supportcapitalprojectsdesignedtoimprovesitecapabilityandresilience
- Workwithinternalspecialistsandexternaltechnicalconsultantswhererequired
- Driveastrongcultureofsafety,accountability,teamworkandoperationalexcellence

Requirements & Eligibility

- Demonstratedexperiencemanagingsolarsaltproductionoperations
- Internationalsolarsaltproductionexperiencewillbeconsidered
- Strongknowledgeofevaporationandcrystallisation-basedproductionprocesses
- Candidateswithoutdirectsaltexperiencemaybeconsideredwithastrongchemicalengineeringorchemistrybackgroundandrelevantcrystallisationexperience
- Provenexperiencemanaginganddevelopingfrontlineproductionteams
- StrongcommercialawarenessandexperienceworkingwithproductioncostandinventoryKPIs
- Abilitytomanageproductioninseasonalandweather-dependentenvironments
- Strongtechnicalproblem-solvingandoperationaldecision-makingskills
- Abilitytomanagecomplexproductionissuesandunexpectedoperationalevents
