Queensland Government seeks Official Visitors to provide independent and impartial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people held in custody at QCS facilities. Visitors are rostered to visit adult correctional centres at least once a month and may perform other review tasks under the Corrective Services Act 2006.
They are paid per completed shift and must remain impartial; current employees of the Queensland Government or public service are ineligible for appointment.
