Skyline Psychology
Frenchs Forest
If you enjoy working with children and adolescents, prefer afternoon practice, and want to work in a supportive private practice with strong admin support and consistent referrals, this role may be a good fit.
My name is Shane. I’m a Clinical Psychologist, AHPRA Approved Supervisor, and I run Skyline Psychology on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
We’re looking for a psychologist who genuinely enjoys working with children and adolescents and wants this to remain a core part of their caseload.
You won’t be starting from scratch. We already have children, adolescents and families looking for support and are looking for the right psychologist to work with them.
The role is primarily focused on children and adolescents. If you also enjoy working with adults, we can incorporate adult work into your caseload too.
The Hours
We’re specifically looking for someone available during the afternoon and early evening, approximately 1:30pm to 6:30/7:00pm, when children, adolescents and families most often need appointments.
The role is available for a minimum of two consistent days per week, with the potential to increase over time if you would like to.
About Skyline Psychology
After more than 15 years working in private practice across hospital and community settings, I founded Skyline Psychology in 2021 to create the kind of practice I wanted to work in myself: one with positive systems, clinical support, autonomy, and less administrative friction.
We want psychologists to be able to focus their energy on being psychologists.
Our admin team manages enquiries, intake, bookings and billing. You can come in,
focus on your clients and clinical work, complete your notes, and go home without having to run the administrative side of a private practice yourself.
What You Can Expect
- Consistent referrals for child and adolescent therapy
- Strong admin and intake support
- Individual supervision included with an AHPRA Approved Supervisor, including support for Clinical Psychology Registrar programs
- Colleagues available for consultation and support
- Autonomy in your clinical work and the caseload you develop
- Encouragement and support for ongoing professional development
- Comfortable consulting rooms in a peaceful Frenchs Forest setting
- The option to include adult clients if you enjoy working across age groups
About You
This role is open to Registered Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists.
We’d particularly like to hear from you if you:
- Genuinely enjoy therapeutic work with children and adolescents
- Are comfortable working with parents and families where appropriate
- Provide thoughtful, evidence-based psychological care
- Can commit to at least two consistent afternoon days per week
- Enjoy the autonomy of private practice while also having colleagues around you
- Want to keep developing professionally
- Are Cool Kids trained, or willing to undertake training (preferred but not essential)
Experience working with adults is welcome but not required.
Skyline tends to suit psychologists who care about doing good clinical work, want to keep growing professionally, and like having the independence of private practice without feeling as though they are completely on their own.
