We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join a busy manufacturing setting in Geebung.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys working with machinery, carrying out maintenance and fault finding, and keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

About the Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting production equipment within the manufacturing environment.
Your duties will include:

- Carrying out preventative and general mechanical maintenance
- Responding to machinery breakdowns and assisting with repairs
- Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical issues
- Completing tooling changes and adjustments
- Using a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Assisting with line changes and production equipment maintenance
- Working safely around extrusion machinery and associated equipment
- Identifying and reporting equipment issues
- Working with the Team Leader and production team to minimise downtime
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures

The position requires the ability to diagnose workplace issues, resolve problems where possible and escalate issues when required.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday - 7:00am – 3:00pm

There is overtime available,



including the potential to be called in outside normal hours when there is a machinery breakdown requiring urgent attention.

What We're Looking For

- Mechanical fitting and maintenance experience
- Must hold Forklift Licence - no experience required
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use hand tools and mechanical equipment confidently
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read instructions and follow procedures
- Strong safety awareness
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Must be available to be on call outside normal work hours

The role requires good numeracy, clear written communication and the ability to keep up with production requirements while maintaining a high level of concentration.
