About the role -
This role works closely with Design, Product Development, Production and global manufacturing partners. You will give expert technical direction, run all fit sessions, mentor junior technical team members and keep improving technical processes as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Product Development

- Lead technical development for your product categories, from design handover through to shipment approval.
- Set and maintain fit, grading and construction standards across all collections.
- Create and approve detailed technical specifications, measurement charts and construction instructions.
- Produce and maintain accurate technical drawings in Adobe Illustrator.
- Review and approve all production tech packs so they are technically accurate before bulk production.
- Spot construction risks early and offer commercially viable solutions that keep the design intent.

Fit Management

- Lead all fit sessions across Prototype, SMS, PPS and Shipping Sample stages.
- Assess fit, balance, proportion and construction, and give suppliers clear technical direction.
- Approve all measurement specifications and grading before bulk production.
- Make sure pattern amendments and fit comments are carried through accurately during development.
- Keep fit consistent across all product categories and seasonal collections.
- Develop and maintain fit standards, grading rules and technical blocks.

Sample and Quality Approval

- Oversee technical approval of all development samples.
- Measure and assess development samples against approved specifications.
- Review and approve all size sets for grading consistency.




- Give final technical approval of shipment samples before production release.
- Prepare and review technical documentation for third-party quality inspections.
- Make sure every garment meets the brand's luxury quality standards before shipment.
- Investigate recurring fit or construction issues and put preventative actions in place.

Fabric, Trim and Construction Innovation

- Review and approve all trim, hardware and construction developments.
- Work with Product Development on fabric performance, testing and suitability.
- Recommend recent construction methods and finishing techniques that improve quality, durability and comfort.
- Give technical input on sourcing decisions where construction or fabrication affects how the product performs.

Administration and Critical Path Management

- Keep accurate technical records, approvals and sample tracking throughout development.
- Make sure all technical milestones are met within the seasonal critical path.
- Prepare technical documentation and updates for repeat styles where needed.
- Track whether suppliers meet technical deadlines and raise risks early.

Qualifications and Experience

- Expert knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, grading and fit across multiple product categories.
- Extensive experience leading fit sessions and managing technical development from concept through to production.
- Proven experience working directly with offshore manufacturers and technical suppliers.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and technical specification management.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to product quality.
