Tell me about this role:
We are seeking multiple experienced Systems Engineers to support the delivery of a complex and strategically important integrated air missile defence capability. In this role, you will contribute to the development of capability requirements, system architectures, engineering baselines, integration strategies and verification frameworks that support key acquisition and approval milestones.
Working within a collaborative program environment, you will engage with Defence stakeholders, industry partners and technical specialists to shape capability outcomes and ensure engineering solutions align with operational needs. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in a major Defence project while applying your systems engineering expertise across the full capability lifecycle.

What will I be doing day to day?
- Develop and maintain capability requirements, engineering artefacts and systems engineering documentation.
- Analyse operational needs and translate them into system and subsystem-level requirements.
- Support the development of system architectures, capability models and engineering baselines.
- Conduct technical analysis,
trade studies and engineering assessments to inform decision-making.
- Manage requirements traceability using contemporary engineering and requirements management tools.
- Develop interface documentation and support integration and interoperability activities.
- Assist with verification planning, test and evaluation activities, and acceptance processes.
- Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Support configuration management, engineering governance and technical assurance activities.
- Collaborate with Defence, industry and OEM stakeholders to progress capability development objectives.
What sort of skills do I need?
- Bachelor degree qualifications in Engineering or related discipline.
- Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience within complex Defence, Government or large-scale technical programs.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within the Defence industry.
- Strong requirements engineering skills, including analysis, decomposition and traceability.
- Experience developing system architectures, engineering artefacts and capability models.
- Understanding of systems integration, interoperability and interface management principles.
- Experience conducting technical assessments, trade studies and engineering risk analysis.
- Knowledge of verification, validation, test and evaluation methodologies.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or similar platforms.
- Current NV1 Security Clearance with the ability to obtain NV2 clearance.
