About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced MRI Radiographer to step into an MRI Lead role with a leading national diagnostic imaging provider in Launceston, North Tasmania.
This is a full-time position (part-time considered on application) working Monday to Friday with regular business hours between 8am and 6pm on a 38-hour week, with participation on the on-call roster. Playing a key role in supporting clinical leadership, maintaining imaging excellence and ensuring the delivery of secure, efficient and patient-focused MRI services, you will work closely with Radiologists, the Area Chief Radiographer and site leadership, leading by example while continuing to perform hands-on MRI scanning across a diverse and engaging case mix.
- Provide day-to-day clinical leadership for the MRI service
- Deliver high-quality MRI imaging in line with established protocols and standards
- Support, mentor and develop MRI radiography staff
- Promote a strong safety culture including radiation dose optimisation
- Assist with MRI protocol review and optimisation with Radiologists
- Support workflow efficiency and positive patient experiences
- Participate in quality assurance, accreditation and continuous improvement
- Contribute to on-call, after-hours and weekend rosters as required

About You:
- AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
- Strong MRI experience with the ability to work independently
- Previous senior, leadership or modality lead experience (desirable)
- Commitment to delivering patient-centred, high-quality care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Eligible to work in Australia
