As the National Sales Manager you will be driving the sales strategy, team management and development of continued project pipeline for engineering & manufacturing projects across Australia.

This is a newly created role at the senior leadership level. The successful candidate will set the national sales direction, build a high-performing team, and put in place the client.

As the National Sales Manager you will be responsible for the following:

- Develop and deliver the national sales strategy and annual sales plan, aligned with the business's growth targets
- Lead, coach and develop the national sales and business development team, setting explicit territories, targets and performance standard
- Build team capability through recruitment, structure and a consistent sales methodology
- Set priority sectors, key accounts and target projects nationally across infrastructure, mining, rail, water/utilities, defence and government
- Drive expansion into new states and markets, building presence where the business is under-represented
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors,



government agencies, asset owners, mining companies, OEMs and defence primes
- Act as the senior commercial lead for strategic national accounts
- Run a disciplined bid/no-bid governance process based on strategic fit, risk, margin and capacity
- Work with estimating and engineering on pricing strategy, technical solutions, methodology, programme and risk
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing and contract conditions

Your professional background and industry experience will include:

- 7+ years of sales management experience with success in large engineering, infrastructure, surface mining, rail, water/utilities, defence or government infrastructure
- Proven experience leading a sales or business development team, ideally at state or national level
- Strong grasp of tender processes, construction contracts and commercial risk
- Robust negotiation, presentation and written communication skills
