Project Manager | Aviation, Education & Transport Projects Ready to build on your project management experience and gain exposure to the broader development process? This opportunity suits someone who can confidently lead project meetings, coordinate consultants and keep delivery moving. The Company
Belkirk is partnering with a project and development management consultancy with a positive pipeline of upcoming work.
The team combines project delivery with development management, offering exposure to both the detail of delivering projects and the commercial decisions behind them. The business is seeking to improve gender balance across its team, and women are encouraged to apply.
The Role
As Project Development Manager, you will manage project activities across design, procurement and construction, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities.
The priority is a solid project management foundation, ideally gained within a client-side PM consultancy. Previous development management experience is welcome but is not essential.
You will need to be comfortable running project meetings independently, following through on actions and taking responsibility for your work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Chairing project and consultant meetings, managing minutes and tracking actions.
- Preparing scopes of work and coordinating consultant and contractor procurement.
- Managing design coordination and reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Preparing and monitoring programs across design, procurement and construction.
- Coordinating tenders, assessing submissions and managing clarifications.
- Administering contracts and supporting superintendent responsibilities as required.
- Managing stakeholder relationships, authority approvals and planning requirements.
- Identifying project risks and developing practical mitigation strategies.
- Preparing monthly cost reports and Project Control Group reporting.
Foundation for Success
You will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in property, construction or a related discipline.
- Experience in client-side project management and/or property development.
- The confidence to lead project meetings independently and manage competing stakeholder priorities.
- Strong skills in programming, budgeting, cost reporting and project forecasting.
- Experience coordinating design teams, procurement processes and construction contracts.
- A proactive approach, sound judgement and the ability to follow matters through.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
Exposure to feasibility modelling or EstateMaster would be useful, although a strong project management profile is the key consideration.
How to Apply
If you have a strong client-side project management background and would like to broaden your experience across project and development management, we would like to hear from you.
Apply with your CV or contact Kylie Kilpatrick at Belkirk on 0416 049 448 for a confidential discussion.
Your details will not be shared with our client without your consent.
