We are currently recruiting for an experienced Preschool Room Leader to join a highly regarded Not-for-Profit organisation at their community-focused Preschool service located near St Mary’s.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Diploma-qualified educator who is passionate about Preschool education and confident taking ownership of a room, leading a team and delivering a high-quality program.

As Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the Preschool room, working closely with your team to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment. You will lead programming and documentation, support children's development and school readiness, and build strong partnerships with families.

The service currently operates as a term-time-only Preschool, with plans to eventually transition towards a Long Day Care model.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the Preschool room
- Lead, mentor and support educators within the room
- Develop and implement a high-quality Preschool program aligned with the EYLF, NQS and service philosophy
- Plan engaging, play-based and intentional learning experiences
- Support children's learning, development, wellbeing and school readiness
- Complete observations, documentation and learning assessments to a high standard
- Build strong and respectful relationships with children and families
- Work collaboratively with families and external professionals supporting individual children
- Participate in meetings and discussions with relevant external agencies when required
- Provide relevant observations and information to support children's development and wellbeing
- Create an inclusive, engaging and emotionally safe learning setting
- Support children who may have additional developmental, behavioural or social needs
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Ensure the room operates
