- Using oxy-acetylene or oxy-LPG torches to safely cut down structural steel, defunct machinery, and pipes into transportable or salvageable sizes.
- Setting up, testing, and adjusting gas cylinders, regulators, hoses, and torches to match varying metal thicknesses.
- Marking, measuring, and clamping heavy metal components before executing exact cuts.
- Handling manual lifting tasks, clearing heavy industrial debris, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area.
- Operating basic hand and power tools, including angle grinders, jackhammers, and compactors.
- Acting as a designated safety spotter for excavators, cranes, and heavy material handlers during high-risk manoeuvres.
- Securing and strictly adhering to site-specific "hot work" permits to prevent fires in remote, high-risk mining environments.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years Oxy Cutting experience
- Driver's Licence
