About The Apprenticeship

Australian Industry Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is seeking motivated 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentices to continue their apprenticeship with NHP Electrical Engineering Products Pty Ltd. This opportunity will see you gain valuable hands-on experience in switchboard manufacturing and critical power systems while working in a supportive and safety-focused environment.

Working from the Laverton North facility, you will be supported by experienced tradespeople and mentors while developing the technical skills required for a successful career as an Electrician.

Some of the skills you will develop include:

- Switchboard building and assembly
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Electrical installation, testing and troubleshooting techniques
- Working with critical power and electrical distribution systems
- Applying safe work practices and maintaining high safety standards
- Developing teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment

About You

- Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
- Successful completion of Year 12
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Completed a Certificate II in Electrotechnology
- Willing to undertake a National Police Check
- Genuine interest in electrical technology and critical power systems
- Strong commitment to safety and learning
- Currently undertaking a 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprenticeship
- Strong mathematical ability and aptitude
- Professional presentation and a positive attitude towards teamwork
