This is an excellent opportunity for a senior O&G; specialist to join a high-quality, patient-centred service within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, contributing to clinical care, education, leadership and service development.

The Opportunity Position: Staff Specialist – Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Location: Newcastle, New South Wales
Employment: Fixed-term temporary
Duration: 12 months
Hours: Full-time; part-time hours may be considered
The hospital is seeking highly experienced specialists with expertise in:

- Obstetrics
- Gynaecology
- Combined Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Key Responsibilities As a Staff Specialist, you will:

- Provide high-level clinical care across Obstetrics, Gynaecology or combined O&G;
- Provide clinical leadership within the Maternity and Gynaecology services
- Participate in the on-call roster, supporting 24/7 acute obstetric and gynaecological services
- Supervise and support junior medical staff
- Participate actively in teaching, training and research
- Contribute to quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health professionals
- Support the delivery of safe, high-quality and patient-centred care
