We are on the lookout for experienced Support Workers to join the Accommodation team at Port Macquarie!

The Role

Location: Port Macquarie, NSW (some travel required across multiple sites)

Employment: Casual

Remuneration: $36.22 per hour + Super + Salary Packaging + Penalty Rates

As a Support Worker, you will work collaboratively within the team to support and provide service to participants in line with the values of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Providing personal care including toileting, showering, dressing and feeding as required.
- Helping participants explore their interests and hobbies through range of programs and recreational activities.
- Transporting participants to events and appointments.
- Admin duties such as completing progress notes, charts and incidental reports.

Essential Criteria:

- Ability and willingness to provide personal care and support activities of daily living in a residential setting
- Experience working with participants with complex medical conditions and complex behavioural challenges
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotating 4 week roster
- Experience or willingness to work active nightshifts.




- High level of resilience and emotional intelligence
- Robust communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in methods of alternative and augmentative communication, particularly being able to use active listening skills
- Current driver licence (minimum P2)
- Have personal mobile device that meets our system requirements which is typically a device released in the last three years
- Satisfactory background checks including NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates (HLTAID011 and HLTAID009)

- Right to work in Australia

- Certificate 3 in Individual Support or related (desirable)
