Student Life
The Student Life Directorate delivers services and evidence-based programs for current students that aims to contribute to improved health and wellbeing; as well as supporting students to succeed in their higher education studies. The Directorate has three major teams focused on (1) Health and Wellbeing; (2) Students course advice, course progress and success; and (3) Student Experience and Student Voice. The Directorate focuses on taking a person-centred approach when engaging with students; collaboration across Schools and Directorates and continuous quality improvement to make a transformational and meaningful impact on students experience at University.
About the Prospect
You will join a skilled Student Success team focused on helping students navigate their university experience and achieve their study goals. The role combines proactive outreach, individual case management and targeted initiatives for specific student cohorts.
Working across ECU, you will build relationships with students, Schools and professional service areas to identify needs, coordinate appropriate responses and contribute to a seamless student experience. You will also use student engagement and data to inform outreach and identify opportunities for early intervention
As a member,
you will be responsible for:
- Managing an allocated caseload, including proactive contact, assessment of student needs, action planning and ongoing case management.
- Responding to complex student issues and enquiries through face-to-face and digital engagement.
- Delivering proactive student success initiatives for identified student cohorts.
- Monitoring student engagement and data to inform outreach and engagement strategies.
- Connecting students with appropriate ECU and external services and maintaining effective referral pathways.
- Providing advice to student visa holders in relation to ESOS compliance.
- Maintaining accurate records across relevant information management systems.
- Working with Schools and service areas to support coordinated student outcomes.
About you
You will bring demonstrated experience in case management, with the ability to understand individual circumstances, identify support needs and develop practical actions. You will be confident working with complex matters and exercising sound judgement about appropriate responses and when to seek further advice.
You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish constructive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will also be organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and delivering quality outcomes
