What’s On OfferThe City of Kwinana is looking for an analytical and collaborative Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to join our brand new Early Childhood Development team.

This role is about making evidence useful. You’ll bring together data from a range of sources, identify trends and translate complex information into practical insights that support better decisions for children and families.

Working across the Kwinana Early Childhood Development Partnership and implementation of the Kwinana Early Years Strategy, you’ll help develop evaluation frameworks, strengthen shared measurement and support a culture of continuous learning and evidence-informed decision making.

What You’ll Be DoingIn this rewarding role you’ll:

- Coordinate and analyse qualitative and quantitative data from sources including the AEDC, Restacking the Odds, ABS and other relevant datasets.
- Develop and support evaluation frameworks and shared measurement approaches to monitor outcomes and evaluate the impact of initiatives.
- Facilitate the City’s evaluation partnership with Curtin University, including research activities, data governance, reporting and knowledge translation.
- Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, data visualisations and evidence summaries that make complex information clear and useful.
- Work collaboratively with City teams, researchers, government agencies and community partners to strengthen data capability and continuous improvement.
- Use data and evaluation to help identify community priorities, service gaps, strategic investment opportunities and system improvements.





What You'll NeedTo make an impact in this role the successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

1. Demonstrated experience in data analysis, interpretation, monitoring, evaluation, performance measurement and the development of evaluation frameworks or shared measurement approaches.
2. The ability to analyse complex quantitative and qualitative data, including population-level data, and translate findings into reports, dashboards, visualisations and practical recommendations.
3. Experience working collaboratively with researchers, government agencies, community organisations and stakeholders to support shared outcomes and evidence-informed decision making.
4. An understanding of research ethics, data governance, privacy and the responsible management of sensitive information across organisations.
5. Highly developed organisational, analytical and communication skills, including strategic planning, reporting, research and grant evaluation.
6. A relevant qualification in evaluation, public health, social research, data analytics, statistics, education, community development or a related discipline, or significant related experience.
7. A current driver’s licence, Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance.
