HR Driver – Regional Victoria & Metropolitan Melbourne

Josies Transport Group is seeking an experienced and reliable HR Driver to join our growing transport operation, servicing Regional Victoria and Metropolitan Melbourne.

Based from our Lara depot, this role offers a mix of metropolitan and regional driving, delivering general freight to a broad range of customers across Victoria.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of customer service, and wants to be part of a growing transport business that continues to invest in its people, equipment and fleet.

About the Role

As an HR Driver with Josies Transport, you will be responsible for the safe and effective pickup and delivery of general freight throughout Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Metropolitan and regional pickup and delivery work
- Operating HR rigid vehicles, including tailgate-equipped vehicles
- Loading and unloading general freight
- Completing multiple deliveries and pickups throughout the day
- Ensuring freight is appropriately restrained and transported safely
- Completing PODs and required delivery documentation
- Communicating with our Operations and Customer Service teams throughout the day
- Maintaining a professional standard when dealing with customers
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any safety or maintenance concerns




- Working in accordance with Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and company safety requirements

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- A current HR Driver Licence
- Previous experience in general freight, transport or multi-drop delivery
- A strong understanding of load restraint and safe freight handling
- Good knowledge of Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work independently while remaining part of a larger operational team
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Forklift licence highly regarded
- Dangerous Goods experience/licence advantageous but not essential

Experience with tailgate deliveries, palletised freight and regional runs will be highly regarded.
