Business Development Manager/Estimator Commercial Painting & Rendering

Signature Painters is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager / Estimator to grow our commercial painting work and help develop rendering opportunities across Brisbane and South East Queensland. You will work directly with our directors, estimating team and operations team to turn well chosen opportunities into profitable projects.

About the role

The chance to build relationships and develop work with Tier 2 and Tier 3 builders, developers, body corporates, strata and facilities managers. You will work directly with the directors, estimating team and operations team to turn well chosen opportunities into profitable projects. The project mix includes apartments, education and childcare, government and council work, hotels, commercial repaint and maintenance, and rope access or difficult access painting. Commercial rendering and façade packages are an area for growth.

Key responsibilities

Find and develop commercial painting and rendering opportunities, from early planning through tender and award.

Build relationships with builders, estimators, project managers, site managers, property groups and other decision makers.

Use Bluebeam Revu to measure drawings and complete accurate take offs.

Work effectively with estimators and quantities surveyors.

Review plans, specifications and tender documentation; conduct site inspections and site measures.





Work with the estimating team on scopes, pricing and tender submissions; follow up quotes and negotiate with clients.

Develop repeat repaint and maintenance clients; maintain and report on the sales pipeline, conversions and upcoming work.

About you

Commercial construction experience and strong business development or client relationship skills.

Proven Bluebeam Revu experience measuring construction drawings and completing digital take offs.

Ability to read architectural plans, elevations and specifications and understand commercial tendering.

Confidence dealing with builders, estimators, project managers and other decision makers.

Sound commercial judgement, organisation, follow up and a focus on profitable work.

Rendering experience highly regarded, especially experience measuring commercial rendering or façade packages.
