Job description
About the role
TRT Australia is seeking an Endocrinologist to provide specialist clinical oversight, patient assessment and guidance in men’s hormone health, testosterone replacement therapy and fertility.
This is a flexible, hourly contract opportunity for an endocrinologist who would like to contribute their expertise to australia's leading TRT telehealth service. The role includes supporting clinical decisions, reviewing complex cases and consulting with patients where specialist assessment or management is appropriate.
Your involvement may include assessing patients with low testosterone, diagnosing and managing hypogonadism/managing treatment plans, including primary hypogonadism, advising on hormone replacement therapy and supporting patients with fertility-related concerns.
The balance between clinical oversight, case review and direct patient consultations will be agreed around your expertise and availability. This is not primarily a doctor-training or management position.
Key responsibilities
- Provide specialist clinical oversight and guidance: Support treating practitioners with clinical decisions, pathology interpretation, treatment planning and ongoing monitoring.
- Assess and manage testosterone deficiency: Undertake specialist consultations where required to investigate low testosterone, establish an appropriate diagnosis and advise on individualised management.
- Guide hormone replacement therapy: Review treatment suitability, protocols and patient responses, providing specialist input on complex or escalated cases.
- Support fertility assessment and care: Assess fertility-related concerns, advise on appropriate investigations and treatment options, and coordinate referrals or shared care where needed.
- Contribute to clinical standards: Review clinical pathways and emerging evidence, helping refine the service’s approach to safe,
evidence-based care.
About you
We are looking for an endocrinologist with an interest in men’s hormone health who enjoys working collaboratively and providing practical specialist input.
You will have:
- FRACP in Endocrinology, or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification, with current AHPRA specialist registration in endocrinology.
- Experience assessing and managing hypogonadism, testosterone deficiency and related endocrine conditions.
- An interest in male reproductive endocrinology and fertility, with a clear understanding of your scope of practice and appropriate referral pathways.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centred approach to telehealth care.
An interest in emerging endocrine research and opportunities to exchange knowledge with Australian and international hormone specialists would be welcomed.
