BLK Hair Studio is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Hairdresser to join our growing team of 7 here in Atherton. Due to continued growth and an expanding client base, we are looking to welcome an experienced Senior Hairdresser to the BLK team.

We’re a modern boutique salon focused on exceptional hair, elevated client experiences and ongoing education. We’re looking for a confident stylist who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team and is ready to continue developing their career in a supportive and progressive salon environment.

About the Role

As a Senior Hairdresser at BLK, you’ll be responsible for delivering a high standard of hairdressing services while building strong, lasting relationships with your clients.

Your role will include:

- Delivering professional cutting, colouring and styling services
- Foiling, balayage and colour correction
- Toners and gloss services
- Blow-drying and styling
- Keratin and smoothing treatments
- Hair extensions and advanced services
- Client consultations and personalised recommendations
- Maintaining high standards of salon presentation and service
- Contributing positively to the salon team and culture
- Participating in ongoing education and professional development
- Supporting and sharing knowledge with developing stylists and apprentices

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum Certificate III in Hairdressing
- Minimum 3 years’ recent industry experience
- Strong technical hairdressing skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working independently and managing your own clientele
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A professional and positive approach
- A genuine passion for hair and continued education
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Remuneration & Incentives

Our salon incentive scheme provides the opportunity to earn above your base hourly rate, with a structured commission and bonus program paid weekly designed to reward performance, client retention and contribution to the salon.

With your hourly rate forming the foundation of your remuneration, our additional commission and bonus opportunities give you the potential to significantly increase your overall earnings as you grow your clientele and achieve your individual and salon KPIs.

Sponsorship Opportunity

For the right candidate, employer-sponsored visa pathways may be available following successful completion of the initial probationary period.

BLK Hair Studio may consider candidates who are eligible for 482 Skills in Demand (TSS) sponsorship or 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (SESR) visa pathways, subject to eligibility requirements and applicable Australian immigration regulations.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
