Pet Handler / Animal Attendant (Casual & Full-Time Positions)

At Jetpets our core focus is pet travel, customer service and welfare. Our team of pet-loving experts transport pets both domestically and overseas to reunite pets with their families year-round.

We have an exciting opportunity for multiple dynamic Casual and Full-Time Pet Handler / Animal Attendant to join our team in Brisbane.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Our company culture is based on Happy Pets, Happy Customers, Happy People that ties into our values of Integrity, Trust, Respect, Teamwork and Leadership. This role Pet Handler / Animal Attendant must be able to demonstrate behaviours that align with a culture reflecting these values.

The successful applicant will be responsible for pet handling, animal attending and crate building. This position is based in our Brisbane Transit Lounge with the requirement to go between our Jetpets facility, the airport and client properties for deliveries and collections.

Skills and experience

In order to be successful, you will need to possess the following key selection criteria:

A love of animals and skilled animal handling experience is essential

A professional customer service-orientated approach to work

A full driver's licence and safe driving record - probationary drivers will not beconsidered

Confidence and experience driving long hauls (where required)

Ability to work autonomously when required

Ability to work flexible hours

A strong and professional work ethic and excellent attention to detail

Additionally, you will have an energetic and positive nature and enjoy working as part of a highly motivated team

Capable of looking after the animals within our care with some lifting involved
