What you'll be doing
As an Administration Officer, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support to the Diabetes & Endocrinology team. Your ability to multitask, prioritise competing demands and communicate effectively will help ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the service.
Your responsibilities will include
- Coordinating patient appointments,
registrations and waitlists, helping ensure the smooth delivery of ambulatory clinic services.
- Providing friendly, professional customer service, responding to enquiries and directing patients, visitors and staff to the appropriate services.
- Maintaining accurate administrative records, departmental statistics and information systems, ensuring information is managed appropriately and confidentially.
- Supporting daily office operations, including managing communications, ordering supplies, coordinating administrative processes and taking meeting minutes.
- Contributing to a safe, efficient and patient-centred service by following NSW Health policies and procedures, identifying and escalating risks, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Selection Criteria:
- Proven extensive clerical experience in a busy reception/customer service position.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills-written and verbal with robust attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidently, and knowing when to escalate matters of importance and urgency.
- Demonstrated computer/data entry skills specifically MS office email and iPM.
- Demonstrated experience in working with multi-functional teams preferably within a heath setting
