Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Plant & Machinery Apprentice to join one of our established host employers in Arndell Park, NSW.
This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople while gaining practical experience working with a range of plant, machinery and equipment. You'll develop valuable mechanical skills in a professional working environment while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
No previous industry experience is required. If you're mechanically minded, reliable and eager to learn, this could be the opportunity to start your trade career.

What You'll Be Doing
Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll develop practical skills in areas such as:
- Assisting with the servicing and maintenance of plant and machinery.
- Inspecting machinery and equipment for faults or wear.
- Assisting with mechanical repairs and component replacement.
- Learning how to diagnose mechanical and equipment faults.
- Using hand tools, power tools and specialised equipment.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Learning about hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assisting with the removal, repair and replacement of components.
- Following workplace procedures and safety requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment.
As your skills and knowledge develop, you'll gradually take on more responsibility and more complex maintenance and repair tasks under appropriate supervision.
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and genuinely interested in building a career working with plant and machinery.
To be considered, you must have:
- Completed Year 12.
- A current driver's licence.
- The ability to reliably travel to Arndell Park, NSW.
- A genuine interest in plant, machinery and mechanical work.
- A hands-on and mechanically minded approach.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- A strong work ethic and reliable attitude.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to listen, follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- A commitment to workplace safety.
Previous mechanical or trade experience is not required. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, genuine interest in the trade and commitment to completing their apprenticeship.
