A leading state-based bank is going national. It has grown through acquisition and is bringing its brands together under a single vision. It's profitable, has strong foundations, and is building from a position of strength. Now it needs marketing leaders who can help take the business to a broader national audience.

The Making Corporation has been exclusively retained to run two talent searches for this scaling brand. Both roles are foundational leadership positions in a newly formed, best-practice marketing group. Both report directly to a newly appointed Head of Customer & Marketing (CMO/GM equivalent).

THE LEADER YOU'LL JOIN

He's one of Australia's most respected financial services marketers. Over more than 20 years he has led brand, media, product and customer marketing across two of the Big Four banks and one of the country's largest consumer brands. His campaigns have won multiple Effie Awards, and he has launched several market firsts. He's known for building highly engaged teams, and people choose to follow him.

He's building the team now. You'd be part of it from the start.

THE ROLES

Senior Leader, Brand & Strategic Marketing: You’ll lead the development and execution of brand marketing initiatives across strategy, positioning, content, social media, sponsorships and customer insight. Your job is to build a brand known in its home states into one people choose nationally. You'll lead a team of four.

Senior Leader, Growth Marketing: You'll lead the acquisition engine: product marketing, go-to-market, digital performance, optimisation and analytics across the retail banking portfolio.



You'll grow new-to-bank customers, lower cost per acquisition, and make AI part of how the team works. You'll lead a team of three.

The two leaders work as partners and one engine. Brand builds preference, and growth converts it.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Scale-up or challenger experience, ideally combined with brand, portfolio or performance marketing at a big consumer brand
- A strong preference for financial services: banking, superannuation, insurance or a related industry where growth depends on mass customer acquisition and brand metrics
- Commercial and analytical rigour, so you can defend every dollar to a CFO and make the case for the next one
- Willingness to get hands-on as well as set the strategy, building capability as you go
- Energy, focus and drive in leading a team, plus the collaboration to make a new leadership group work
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Marketing, and demonstrated years in marketing leadership

You'll need to be commercial, analytical and cooperative. Fierce, but fun. And based in Brisbane, the state capital that is now Australia’s growth capital.

THE PACKAGE The package is market competitive and will be disclosed at screening and interview. It includes a First 100 Day Executive Integration Program with The Making Corporation.
