About the role

Join the team as an Aboriginal Health Worker – Aboriginal Immunisation and Public Health Support Officer, supporting Aboriginal people and communities to access culturally safe, timely and holistic health services. You’ll build strong community and service-provider networks, help improve childhood immunisation rates, support health promotion initiatives and contribute to better health outcomes across the Mid North Coast.

About you

- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, as this is an identified position under the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

- Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a relevant Certificate III health qualification, or a willingness to obtain one.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture, history and the factors influencing Aboriginal health.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a culturally respectful and community-focused approach.

- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

- Confident using computer systems,



data management tools and spreadsheets.

- Current driver’s licence and ability to travel across the district.

Applicants must be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island descent. Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification as authorised under S21 of Anti-Discrimination Act 1977
