Georgie B Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team in Australia's Second-Largest Inland City, Toowoomba, Queensland.

This full-time position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef to contribute to day-to-day operations of a busy commercial kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining consistent presentation standards and assisting with menu planning, stock control and kitchen operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals, assisting with menu planning, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, managing stock and supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the kitchen. We are looking for someone with strong culinary skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.

Benefits The position offers a market-competitive salary package of AUD $80,000 – $84,000 per annum plus superannuation, stable full-time employment, opportunities for professional development and a supportive team environment.

Task &

responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with menu planning and development, including seasonal menu items.
- Cater for special dietary requirements and customer preferences.
- Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Plan and contribute to menus, including seasonal dishes and specials.
- Estimate food requirements and assist in controlling food and operational costs.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering and receipt of food supplies.
- Conduct stocktakes and ensure appropriate storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and workplace requirements.
- Minimise food wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.




- Coordinate with and support other kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
- Assist with training and guidance of junior kitchen staff where required.
- Assist with minimising food wastage and controlling kitchen costs.
- Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.

Qualification &

experience

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Culinary Arts or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking and presentation.
- Experience in menu planning, stock control and food cost management.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong organisational, teamwork and communication skills.
