Amtec Disaster Recovery helps homeowners and businesses recover after water, fire and mould damage. We work with insurers and builders to make properties safe quickly and get people back on their feet.
We're looking for an experienced Claims Consultant to manage our make safe claims from first attendance through to final invoice. This isn't a reception or general admin role. You'll be the person who turns what our technicians find on site into authorised, reported and invoiced work.
Primary Objective
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of services required for the families and businesses that we are helping through a disaster.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and governing Amtec standards
- Manage and monitor the duration of appointed claims to ensure we are achieving results in meeting and improving our SLA’s requirements and claim life
- Troubleshoot problems, advise clients and update colleagues on actions taken
What you'll be doing
- Reviewing technician reports, photos and moisture readings after each attendance, and spotting work or costs that haven't been captured
- Preparing estimates for proposed works
- Getting authority from insurers and builders, including through their online portals
- Scheduling follow-up attendances with our technicians until the job is complete
- Sending transparent progress reports to insurers after each visit
- Invoicing against the correct work order at completion
- Keeping every claim moving and within insurer timeframes (SLAs), and escalating anything urgent
- Recording all correspondence and updates in our job management system
- Joining the on-call roster for emergency make safe claims (bonus applies)
You will have:
- A positive, friendly can-do attitude
- Professional communication skills both verbal and written – must be fluent in speaking and writing English
- Be able to work in a team while also being able to work autonomously
- Ability to multitask, time-manage and prioritise work priorities
- High attention to detail
- Intermediate computer skills
- Be available Mon – Fri for an 8 hour shift
- Overtime available during high peak periods
- Previous experience in Insurance is desirable, but not essential
- Experience in Administration (minimum of 2+ years)
