Sirrom Corporation (Aust.) Pty Ltd is looking for Chefs with Coal Board & S11to join their team based in Queensland to various sites The Role: Qualified Chefs with Coal Board & S11- Fulltime position – 14/7 (10 hours worked) – salary from $95,737 p/a + super or Casual $45 p/h

- Provide breakfast, crib lunch, desserts or dinner service for residents on site (be able to work both night shift and dayshift on a rotating roster)

- Ensure food presentation, product presentation and meal service are to Sirrom standards

- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.

- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation whilst maintaining minimal food wastage

- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and front of house staff in line with client requirements

- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

- Maintain a strict health and hygiene standards and systems in the kitchen with proper HACCAP procedure especially around freezing or preserving foods.

- Supportive leadership, mentoring, and coaching for kitchen staff

We’re looking for candidates with:

- Trade qualified with a minimum 5 years’ post qualified experience.

- Have Current Coal Board & Standard 11 or willing to obtain

- Resume must show chef capabilities in either the Cruise ship industry or 5 star hotels or similar





- Hands-on experience with bulk catering, including bistro and buffet-style service

- Candidates will be asked to show leadership qualities but be able to work in a team environment as well.

- Basic English Proficiency is a requirement.

- Strong skills in food costing, budgeting, ordering, and stock control

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure

- Ability to maintain strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen

- Friendly and considerate attitude to promote a positive work environment

To be considered, you must have or be willing to obtain:

- Current Standard S11 Certificate (desirable)

- Current Coal Board Medical (desirable)

- Chef Trade Certificate – Australian Qualification (Cert III in Commercial Cookery minimum)

- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (preferred)

- National Police Check (issued within the last 1 month)

- Ability to pass pre‑employment medical and drug screening

- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence

- Basic English proficiency
