Job Summary
The Global Technology Director is responsible for defining and executing the organization's global technology strategy, driving digital transformation, and ensuring the delivery of innovative, scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions. The role oversees multiple technology domains, aligns IT initiatives with business objectives, manages global technology teams, and ensures operational excellence, governance, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction. This position serves as a strategic leader, fostering innovation while optimizing technology investments and business outcomes. The responsibilities are aligned with leadership expectations seen in global technology and transformation roles
Key Responsibilities
1. Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the enterprise-wide technology vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Align technology initiatives with business goals and growth objectives.
- Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies and digital opportunities.
- Drive innovation through AI, Cloud, Data, Automation, and Digital Engineering initiatives.
2. Global Delivery & Operations Management
- Lead global technology teams across multiple geographies and business units.
- Ensure reliable, scalable, and secure technology operations.
- Establish governance frameworks, operational KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous service improvement.
3. Digital Transformation
- Lead large-scale transformation and modernization programs.
- Promote cloud adoption, DevSecOps, automation, and platform engineering.
- Drive enterprise architecture standardization and modernization.
4. Financial & Vendor Management
- Manage technology budgets, forecasting, and investment planning.
- Optimize technology spending and drive cost efficiencies.
- Lead vendor, partner, and contract management activities.
- Evaluate and implement strategic technology partnerships.
5. Risk, Security & Compliance
- Ensure cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and data privacy adherence.
- Establish technology governance and risk management frameworks.
- Drive audit readiness and compliance with industry standards.
6. Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, customers, and external partners.
- Translate business requirements into technology solutions.
- Present technology strategies and performance updates to executive leadership and boards.
7. People Leadership
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing global technology teams.
- Establish succession planning and leadership development programs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
8. Innovation & Emerging Technologies
- Assess emerging technology trends and their business impact.
- Drive adoption of AI, Generative AI, Automation, Analytics, Cloud, IoT, and Cybersecurity solutions.
- Establish innovation labs, CoEs, and transformation initiatives. Relevant leadership expectations around AI governance, capability building, and scaling innovation are reflected in internal digital leadership guidance

Other Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.Master's degree (MBA/MS) preferred.15+ years of technology leadership experience.8+ years managing large global technology organizations.Experience leading multi-million-dollar transformation programs.Industry certifications preferred:
- TOGAF
- ITIL
- PMP/Prince2
- AWS/Azure/GCP Qualified Certifications
- CISSP/CISM (preferred)
