Diploma Qualified/ Lead Eduator /Responsible Person

We are currently seeking Diploma-qualified educators, Room Leaders and educators suitable to undertake Responsible Person responsibilities to join our team.

We are looking for educators who bring their own strengths, ideas and experience while sharing our commitment to providing children with a protected, inclusive, engaging and high-quality education and care environment.

About Our Service

Our service provides Long day education and care for children from approximately 4 months to 6 years of age, as well as Outside School Hours Care and Vacation Care.

We are building a team of educators who can work collaboratively, contribute ideas and help shape the direction of our service.

As a smaller service, we value the individual strengths, knowledge and talents each educator brings to the team. We want educators to feel confident contributing to curriculum decisions, continuous improvement and the development of our service.

You will be supported by experienced early childhood professionals, including an Early Childhood Teacher, and provided with opportunities for ongoing professional development.

There are also opportunities for future career progression, including:

- Room Leader
- Responsible Person
- 2IC
- Educational Leader

Positions are available progressively from October 2026 through to January/February 2027.

Positions Available

We are seeking

- Room Leaders
- Diploma-qualified Educators
- Educators suitable to undertake Responsible Person responsibilities
- Experienced educators currently working towards an approved Diploma or Early Childhood Teaching qualification may also be considered for suitable positions.

Qualifications Applicants should hold, or be actively working towards, one of the following:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- An equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)



or another ACECQA-recognised Early Childhood Teaching qualification

The position offered and level of responsibility will depend on the applicant's completed qualification, experience, demonstrated capability and regulatory requirements.

What We Are Looking For

Successful applicants will demonstrate

- strong knowledge of early childhood education and care
- a hands-on and practical approach to working with children and educators
- leadership skills or demonstrated potential to develop as a leader
- approximately 3 years' experience within early childhood education and care for leadership positions
- sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- ability to contribute to meaningful educational programming, observations, planning and evaluation
- understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- effective supervision and risk-management practices
- willingness to contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement
- ability to support and mentor other educators where required.

- demonstrate professional and child-safe practices
- maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- actively supervise children
- understand and follow child protection and reporting responsibilities
- contribute to a culture where children's wellbeing, rights and voices are respected
- participate in required child-safety and child-protection training.

Child-safety expectations and service procedures will be covered further through induction, training and ongoing professional development.





Essential Requirements

Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain/update where applicable:
- valid NSW Working With Children Check
- current approved First Aid qualification
- current Anaphylaxis Management training
- current Emergency Asthma Management training
- required Child Protection training
- required Child Safety training
- Food Handling/Food Safety training
- evidence of relevant qualifications and training.

Pay: $31.00 – $38.00 per hour
