Project: Major New Airport Infrastructure Project - Minimum 8-week project

Fuse Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Fitters to join our client’s team for a minimum 8-week project on a major infrastructure project in Western Sydney.

The successful candidates will be involved in the installation, assembly and commissioning of cargo conveyor systems as part of a large-scale airport development.

For you:

- Monday to Friday roles paying $60 p/hr + Super
- Working hours of 6am to 5pm daily (lots of overtime available!)
- Opportunity to work on a major, high-profile infrastructure project

The Client: An established engineering and manufacturing business based in Sydney’s south-west. The business delivers practical engineering, fabrication and manufacturing solutions across industrial and commercial applications. With a hands-on workshop environment and an experienced team, it undertakes a range of projects requiring quality workmanship, technical capability and attention to detail.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include

- Installation and assembly of cargo conveyor belt systems
- Mechanical fitting, alignment and adjustment of conveyor equipment
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and plans
- Installation of components, guards, frames, rollers and associated equipment
- Mechanical maintenance and fault finding as required




- Working closely with supervisors, trades and other project teams
- Maintaining a high standard of safety, quality and housekeeping on site

About You To be successful, you will have:

- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
- Experience with conveyor systems, material handling equipment or industrial installations highly regarded
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Familiarity with motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, and conveyor components
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Experience in refrigerated or cold-storage facilities advantageous
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Relevant Australian trade qualification
- Construction/industrial site experience
- Must have construction White Card
- ASIC card is advantageous
- EWP, Forklift, or Scissor Lift tickets advantageous
- Confined Space ticket advantageous
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
