Profectus is seeking an experienced Force Design and Strategy Support professional to support a project within the Australian Government / Defence environment. You will provide force design and strategic planning advice to senior leadership, assessing strategic guidance and its impact on a portfolio of capability, delivery and sustainment activities. The work covers program strategy, concepts of operation and employment, capability planning documentation and dependency management across related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining program strategy and associated strategic and operational planning products
- Support senior leadership in developing concepts of operation, concepts of employment and inputs to force design documentation
- Provide force design and strategic analysis to inform decision making and capability planning
- Assess and interpret strategic guidance and advise on impacts to capability
- Review and coordinate capability planning documentation to manage dependencies across projects
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and prepare briefing material for senior leadership
- Prepare executive level briefs and contribute to governance meetings and committee processes
- Produce technical documentation for complex systems
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience in force design, strategic planning or concept development roles within Australian Government or Defence programs
- Strong understanding of communications and information systems
- Ability to interpret technical information from subject matter experts and translate it for decision makers
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Technical writing experience for complex systems
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems
- Valuable knowledge of MS Project
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within Defence or on nationally significant programs
- Project management experience, including application of project management methodology
- Knowledge of capability life cycle processes, governance structures and committee processes
- Understanding of staff processes at operational and tactical levels
- Background in program management, systems engineering, communications, business management or information technology
- Experience developing options on schedule, cost and quality for acquisition and sustainment investment decisions
Security Clearance Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must have a current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance

- Occasional travel may be required
