With a growing portfolio of venues, award-winning brewery and distillery operations, and ambitious plans for future growth, we're looking for an experienced hospitality leader to help drive operational excellence across our venues.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Group Venue Operations Manager to oversee the operational performance of our venues and support the continued growth of the Running With Thieves brand.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role that will see you working closely with Venue Managers and their leadership teams to improve performance, develop people, maintain standards and drive consistency across the group.

You won't be managing from behind a desk. This role requires a visible operational leader who enjoys being in venues, coaching teams, solving problems and driving results.

What You'll Be Responsible For

You will work closely with each venue team to improve performance across five key areas:

- Labour management, roster efficiency and labour cost control

- Cost of goods, stock control and margin performance

- Customer experience and service consistency

- Compliance across liquor, food, safety and operational requirements

- Sales growth, profitability and commercial performance

What this looks like day-to-day:

- Provide hands-on operational leadership across all venues

- Coach, mentor and develop Venue Managers and leadership teams





- Hold venue leaders accountable to budgets, KPIs and operating standards

- Identify performance opportunities and implement practical improvement plans

- Drive consistency in systems, service standards and operational execution

- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and leadership development initiatives

- Provide operational coverage during annual leave, vacancies or peak trading periods

- Lead the rollout of group-wide systems, training programs and business improvement initiatives

- Support new venue openings, including recruitment, setup, training and launch activities

About You

You are a proven hospitality operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site setting.

You bring

- Significant senior hospitality management experience

- Multi-venue or area management experience highly regarded

- Strong commercial and financial acumen

- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop leaders

- Experience managing labour, COGS and venue profitability

- Excellent knowledge of hospitality compliance requirements

- Robust organisational and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to be present in venue operations
- A passion for creating great guest experiences and high-performing teams
