The Opportunity

Chobani is entering a new phase of growth.

Major site expansions, new production capabilities, increasing automation and significant capital investment are transforming the scale and complexity of our manufacturing operation. As we continue to grow across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and beyond, our approach to safety, security and risk must evolve with the business.

Reporting to the GM People & Communication, and leading a team, you'll lead the next stage of safety maturity across Chobani.

You'll be a visible presence within the operation, spending time with leaders and teams, understanding how work is performed and translating safety expectations into practical outcomes. Through strong relationships,



coaching and constructive challenge, you'll help leaders build safety into everyday operational decisions.

You’ll become the organisation's leading voice on safety, security and organisational risk. You'll provide trusted advice to the SLT, help shape major decisions, navigate emerging challenges and prepare the business for future growth.

You'll also establish a more mature approach to physical security, creating clear ownership, stronger governance and a practical framework that evolves alongside the business.

In this role you will:

- Lead the safety strategy, governance approach and maturity roadmap for the business
- Advise and build the safety capability of senior and operational leaders
- Oversee critical operational risks, regulator engagement, incident response and risk remediation
- Strengthen proactive safety behaviours, including early risk identification, reporting and action
- Support major capital projects, new equipment, commissioning activities and changing risk profiles
- Shape the future structure, systems and capability of the safety function Establish clearer governance and ownership of physical security across the business

Your Experience

This role requires more than technical safety expertise.

We're looking for someone who can build credibility with operational leaders and frontline teams,



then translate what they see and learn into meaningful advice and decisions at the Executive level.

You'll bring senior safety leadership experience from a complex manufacturing environment, ideally one characterised by operational growth, capital investment or changing risk profiles. You'll understand how to translate legislation, risk and compliance requirements into practical actions that support both people and business performance.

We're looking for a leader who can:

- Build credibility with executive leaders, operational teams and frontline employees
- Advise, coach and equip leaders to fulfil their safety responsibilities effectively
- Create an environment where teams identify and address risk early, and safety is embedded in how work is performed
- Balance long-term strategy with the realities of a quick-paced manufacturing environment
- Navigate growth, capital investment and increasing organisational complexity
- Influence through trust, judgement and credibility rather than authority alone Challenge constructively and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions

Experience supporting organisational growth, capital projects, commissioning activities or transformation will be highly relevant. Exposure to geographically dispersed operations, security risk management or ISO 45001 environments will be advantageous. You will have tertiary qualifications in occupational health and safety, risk management or related discipline, and strong knowledge of Victorian occupational health and safety legislation. Additionally, you will have ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer qualifications, and proven experience leading ICAM investigations.

While food manufacturing experience is desirable, we're also interested in leaders from other complex manufacturing environments where operational safety, leadership and risk management are critical to business success.
