Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
What you'll be doing
This position is responsible for the development, coordination, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a research and health outreach project engaging workers and communities participating in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme to ensure the delivery of culturally responsive health promotion, education, screening and referral initiatives across Mid North Coast and Northern NSW Local Health Districts.
The position has primary responsibility for research development, protocol development, research governance, stakeholder engagement and coordinating a multidisciplinary team.
About You
You are a highly capable and community-focused professional with relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field, complemented by practical experience gained through employment in health, community services, or comparable sectors. Your combination of academic knowledge and hands-on experience enables you to effectively contribute to programs and initiatives that support diverse populations and deliver meaningful outcomes.
You have demonstrated experience coordinating projects, programs, and outreach activities, ensuring objectives are achieved within established timeframes and resources. Your robust planning and organisational abilities allow you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail. You are adept at balancing competing deadlines and responding flexibly to changing operational requirements.
A key strength is your ability to build and maintain productive partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders, including community organisations, government agencies, service providers, and community members.
Through collaborative engagement and relationship building, you foster positive connections that support program success and enhance community outcomes.
You possess a strong understanding of culturally responsive practice and are committed to working respectfully and effectively with multicultural communities. You recognise the importance of cultural diversity and inclusion and are skilled in adapting your approach to meet the needs of individuals and groups from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
Your excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills enable you to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels. You can prepare clear reports, correspondence, and program documentation, while also building rapport and facilitating productive discussions with individuals, teams, and community groups.
You are capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision and thrive in collaborative environments where multidisciplinary teamwork is essential. Your ability to contribute positively within diverse teams, while also taking initiative and responsibility for your own workload, ensures effective service delivery and achievement of organisational goals.
Additionally, you hold a current NSW Driver Licence and are willing to undertake regular travel across regional and rural NSW. This flexibility enables you to support programs and stakeholders across geographically dispersed communities, ensuring consistent engagement and service delivery throughout the region.
