About the role
We're looking for a caring, reliable support worker to provide in-home support to an NDIS participant in the Strathpine area. You'll help with daily living so the participant can stay comfortable, independent and connected to their community.
Shifts
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are essential.
- Must be able to work between 7am and 5pm
- Full 8 hours to suit your availability, but travel will be required.
Duties
- Personal care support (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Meal preparation and help with eating
- Light household tasks (laundry, tidying, cleaning)
- Medication prompting as per the support plan
- Community access, appointments and outings
- Companionship and encouragement of independence
- Keeping accurate shift notes and following the participant's support plan
About you
- Respectful, patient,
punctual and trustworthy
- Comfortable with personal care
- Available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Own transport and a current driver's licence
Essential:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in Australia
- First Aid and CPR
- Drivers Licence
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or similar), or experience in disability or aged care
We're open to applicants with a range of backgrounds and experience. Training and support will be provided.
