About the roleTrack Leading Hand responsible for supporting the delivery of rail construction, maintenance and shutdown works across the Pilbara. Lead crews of up to 35 personnel while maintaining safety, productivity and quality standards across multiple rail disciplines.
Skills & experience
- Proven extensive experience within the Rail industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Full C Class Driving Licence or higher with no restrictions
- Able to pass Rail Category 1 medical and ongoing D&A; screens
Desirable but not essential:
- First Aid training and first responder training
- Inducted and experience on BHP networks
- Frontline Leadership or equivalent qualifications
- Verse Testing Qualification
- Flashbutt and AT Welding experience
- Cert III Rail Infrastructure or equivalent
Duties & responsibilities:
- Assist with risk assessments and lead daily pre-starts and end-of-day debriefs
- Keep accurate site diaries and communicate daily updates to the client
- Help plan and sequence tasks across various rail disciplines
- Support a robust safety culture and positive team environment
- Make on-the-spot decisions to keep works on track and aligned with project plans
- Work closely with shutdown leads and other teams including civil, FBW, and signalling
- Assist in setting up worksites,
managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Learn and grow your leadership skills while contributing to successful project outcomes
