A leading and well-established Australian property group that is continuing to grow and diversify their interests are looking to employ a senior level Lawyer into the team. This organisation has built a substantial projects and property portfolio and manage an impressive number of commercial investments. They have interests across the property lifecycle, including acquisitions, development, investment, asset management, and property operations.

Reporting into the General Counsel you will join an experienced team. You will work directly with the business and act as the primary legal support to the Head of Asset Management providing ongoing legal advice across the property portfolio which includes identifying and coordinating all required leases, licences, approvals, insurance, service agreements and property and facilities management arrangements. You will also provide legal support on acquisitions, mergers, divestments, corporate structures, acquisition and property finance arrangements and advice on property development and construction projects.





More broadly there will be a range of commercial agreements including supplier and purchasing agreements and advisory on regulatory and compliance requirements and company secretarial support.

The position is a broad and hands-on role suited to a Lawyer c 7 years + PQE level who enjoys working close to the commercial decision-making of a business and has significant property and asset management experience ideally with exposure to M&A;, divestments, corporate structuring, financing arrangements, construction and commercial contracts. You must thrive in a quick paced and nimble business and demonstrate the ability to understand commercial objectives and translate legal issues into practical business advice. In addition, you must have strong organisational skills and be able to manage multiple transactions and stakeholders simultaneously and take a proactive approach and have a willingness to take ownership of matters from start to finish.
