St John of God Midland Public Hospital we provide a comprehensive range of services including emergency medicine, critical care, day chemotherapy, paediatric care, aged and stroke care, maternity and general surgery.

Our 307-bed public hospital is operated under a public-private partnership between the State Government and St John of God Health Care.

Your role at St John of God Midland Public Hospitals.

As the Medical Education Officer (WBA) you will support the planning, management and implementation of the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) Program for International Medical Graduates (IMGs).

In this rewarding role, you will coordinate and continuously enhance the Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) Program, supporting International Medical Graduates (IMGs) throughout their assessment journey while ensuring a positive, well-structured and supportive experience. Working closely with licensing authorities, Medical Administration, workforce and rostering teams, you will oversee assessment planning, provide guidance on performance and progression, and offer mentoring and career support to help candidates successfully navigate the pathway to registration and ongoing clinical practice.

You will build solid relationships with Heads of Department, senior medical staff, assessors and key external stakeholders to ensure the ongoing quality, effectiveness and accreditation of the program. By supporting and developing assessors, monitoring program outcomes and preparing accreditation reporting, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance,



driving continuous improvement and creating a supportive learning environment that helps IMGs thrive both professionally and personally.

This position is being offered on a permanent part-time basis at 0.5 FTE (38 hours per fortnight)

You will have previous experience in a similar role, providing support to Junior Medical Officers (JMOs) in a health care setting and you will be able to demonstrate experience in the monitoring of training programs and feedback evaluation.

You will have a strong understanding of education and training program development within a healthcare setting, together with comprehensive knowledge of the requirements and accreditation standards of the Australian Medical Council (AMC), the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) and the Postgraduate Medical Council of Western Australia (PMCWA). Your ability to apply this knowledge in practice will enable you to support high-quality assessment, education and professional development outcomes for International Medical Graduates (IMGs).

- Highly competitive salary and entitlements, $97,222 to $99,892 per annum (pro rata for part time),



plus 12 % superannuation
