The role:

We are currently seeking a Senior Flow Cytometry Medical Scientist to work at the Osborne Park Laboratory in the Haematology/Transfusion department.

The following are the essential requirements for this role:

- A degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a science degree with subjects relevant to the field of flow cytometry, or an overseas qualification which has been assessed by AIMS as being equivalent.




- Demonstrated experience in Flowcytometry testing performed on peripheral blood, bone marrow and tissue samples.
- Demonstrate the abilities to oversee all aspects of the set up and running of a flow cytometry laboratory including EQAP, staff training, assay development and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work unsupervised within a small team and showing a high degree of accuracy and precision

A minimum of five year’s previous experience in a Haematology/Flow Cytometry laboratory is essential. This position will be rostered Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:00 but occasional Saturday and evening shifts may be required.
