Men's Shed Assistant Coordinator

Help Build Connections, Wellbeing and Community

Kerang District Health (KDH) is seeking a passionate and community-minded Men's Shed Assistant Coordinator to support the delivery and growth of our highly valued Men's Shed program. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of local men by fostering social connection, wellbeing, skill development and community participation. As part of our District and Community Services team, you will work closely with the Men's Shed Coordinator to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive setting where participants can connect, learn new skills and contribute to their community.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting with the day-to-day operation and coordination of the Men's Shed program.
- Supporting participant engagement, attendance and activity scheduling.




- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants.
- Maintaining accurate records and program documentation.
- Supporting community partnerships and engagement activities.
- Assisting with communications, bookings and resource coordination.
- Contributing to workplace health and safety, quality improvement and program compliance activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Requirements

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence.

Desirable

- Experience working with tools and equipment commonly found within a Men's Shed environment.

Mandatory Requirements

- Current Working With Children Check.
- Satisfactory National Police Check.
- Evidence of annual influenza vaccination status.
