Role Description The Mental Health Clinician will provide therapeutic support to individuals and groups if groupwork is an interest. Focusing on practical skill-building, emotional wellbeing, and recovery-oriented outcomes.
Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing and implementing treatment and support plans, delivering evidence-informed interventions, and documenting clinical notes in line with professional and organizational standards.
The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, engaging families and support networks where appropriate, and coordinating care with community services. The clinician will also participate in case reviews, contribute to program development, and ensure trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
This is a full-time or part-time on-site role based in Perth, WA.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or a related mental health field. Graduate applications invited from OTs and provisionally registered psychologists.
- Eligibility for, or current registration with, the appropriate professional body or board (e.g., AASW, AHPRA, ACA or equivalent).
- Experience working with individuals experiencing distress, complex life challenges, or psychosocial disability.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally secure practice, including working respectfully with diverse communities.
